***WEST LONDON PEER SUPPORT COURSE***
This Born To Carry Peer Support Course covers all the basics of babywearing, carrying and slings, from safety through to troubleshooting, wraps to buckle carriers.
The course aims:
– to give you the confidence to demonstrate different slings and carriers
– to give you the confidence to assess safety and comfort
– to give you the knowledge and understanding to answer a range of questions about using slings
– to deepen your understanding of the benefits of carrying, from birth onwards
The peer support course is perfect for sling library volunteers, midwives, antenatal teachers, doulas, breastfeeding supporters, childcare workers and enthusiastic parents!
This is not a full consultancy course, and as such will not cover advanced wrapping techniques, back carrying or complex circumstances. We will discuss the limits of the peer supporter role and when to refer to someone with more experience or a more in-depth qualification.
